For all those times of your youth, spent on leisure, having good times with your friends on the bar, plus those regular beer and barbeque weekends and Sunday grilling at the backyard. You somehow find yourself several years after; stuck on some fish dish and some regular veggie you have been taking for a while. You sure want a taste of that baby backribs, grilled to tenderness, some beer perhaps, or a soda with your deep-fried pork belly. However, the meal plan just does not have those things you love to eat on the list. You are always contemplating on whether your doctor has been truly fair with you. This is what happens when you want to live a long life, but was not thought of when you were younger.
You have abused the healthier, stronger, tougher physique you had back then, or probably were not told that regular big portions of pork, fatty foods and skipping of your vegetables can pay a big toll on your health. You then need now to stick to a strict diet that only consists of a few types of fish, with no salt and condiments, and your regular leafy vegetables with no salt, all of these should only be cooked by steaming. Not a lot of taste in that you might say. Nevertheless, that was recommended to you by your physician if you want to live a longer, healthier life. The absence of cholesterol, alcohol, salt, condiments, and bad fats in your diet can help you improve your health and overall condition, and a small amount of those will do otherwise. “Eat to live”, and not “Live to Eat” should be the words you should stand by.
